In India uttarakhand (Issar, 1981), Kashmir and the valleys of the Nilgiris are the point of distribution of the gymnosperms. However due to rapid change in the anthropogenic activities this remarkable group of the plants is now at the line of extinction, now a very few plants are exist which are the representative of the group. Planned cultivation and conservation of the group is required for the maintenance of the plants in that planet.
