Abstract:

Every opportunity is explored across the board to do business and earn profit. The use of natural resources is increasing at an unprecedented rate further depleting the non-renewable natural resources and causing harm to the environment. Hence the sustainability factor in every kind of commerce is thought of these days for minimizing the damage to the environment and preserving the earth for future generations. The export-oriented approach is very much prevalent in many countries for harnessing benefits. In this context, a summary of the sustainability in the export-oriented context of India is presented in this paper. Efforts are being taken to achieve sustainability in the sectors where exports are taking place. Different approaches are being explored to introduce sustainability measures. Sustainable development goals have been set by national and international agencies. Apprehensions are expressed in some reports regarding the non-sustainable nature of business practices.
